Nov 26 2024: Taiwan’s stock market ended Tuesday on a positive note, driven by gains in the Information Services, Other Electronic, and Construction sectors. The Taiwan Weighted Index edged up by 0.19%. HiTi Digital Inc led the gains, skyrocketing 100.51% to close at 15.80, reaching a five-year high. Zero One Technology Co Ltd and HTC Corp followed, both increasing by 10.00% to close at 115.50 and 47.30, respectively.
On the downside, Logah Technology Corp dropped 9.91% to 7.18, hitting a three-year low, while Chateau International Development Co Ltd fell 9.87% to 34.25, marking a 52-week low. Lead Data Inc also declined 9.85% to finish at 3.57.
In commodities, crude oil prices rose, with January delivery up 0.41% to $69.22 per barrel, and Brent oil for February delivery climbing 0.30% to $72.70. February Gold Futures increased by 0.26% to $2,649.55 per troy ounce. In the currency market, USD/TWD moved up 0.11% to 32.48, while TWD/CNY remained steady at 0.22. The US Dollar Index Futures advanced by 0.24%, ending at 107.03.
