June 11 2024: Indonesian stocks declined after Tuesday’s close, with significant losses in the Financials, Agriculture, and Basic Industry sectors dragging the market down.
At the end of the trading day in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index fell by 0.41%, marking a new six-month low.
Top performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index included Mandala Multifinance Tbk (JK), which soared 1,510.26% or 2,945.00 points, closing at 3,140.00. Meanwhile, Metropolitan Kentjana Tbk (JK) surged 1,185.71% or 24,900.00 points, ending at 27,000.00, and Astra Agro Lestari Tbk (JK) climbed 275.81% or 4,275.00 points, finishing at 5,825.00.
On the downside, Bank Artha Graha Internasional (JK) plummeted 99.39% or 9,691.00 points, closing at 59.00. Totalindo Eka Persada Tbk PT (JK) dropped 99.35% or 308.00 points, ending at 2.00, and Lenox Pasifik Investama Tbk PT (JK) declined 99.33% or 8,095.00 points, finishing at 55.00.
On the Jakarta Stock Exchange, declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 426 to 219, with 177 stocks remaining unchanged.
Shares of Bank Artha Graha Internasional (JK) hit a three-year low, dropping 99.39% or 9,691.00 points to 59.00. In contrast, Astra Agro Lestari Tbk (JK) reached a three-year high, gaining 275.81% or 4,275.00 points to 5,825.00.
In commodities trading, crude oil for July delivery increased by 0.13% or 0.10, settling at $77.84 a barrel. Brent oil for August delivery rose by 0.11% or 0.09, reaching $81.72 a barrel. Conversely, the August Gold Futures contract fell by 0.12% or 2.70, trading at $2,324.30 per troy ounce.
The USD/IDR pair increased by 0.03% to 16,313.80, while the AUD/IDR pair decreased by 0.07% to 10,772.10.
The US Dollar Index Futures declined by 0.30%, ending at 104.80.
